I'm usually pretty good at gift shopping but I always like to throw a design element into the mix when I have the time. Whether it be a map of Cardiff Bay to show my fiance where we're going for her birthday meal that evening or if its a rebranding of her from designer to Zoo Keeper, shes guaranteed some sort of design based birthday treat.

Below is a map I designed for my fiance for her brithday last August. I wanted to a fun way to show her where we were going for food - The Potted Pig. It is in no way shape or form geographically correct but I managed to fit in all key areas of Cardiff without stretching it beyond an A3 page.

As a surprise for her first birthday with me, I designed a book documenting the first year of our relationship. Here's a sneak peak of some of the pages. I openly admit I took some liberties with the illustration of myself!
